Registration for the VIRTUAL 2020 Writers' Retreat is only for those applicants who were accepted into the retreat.

Workshop Description The 2020 VIRTUAL POGIL Writers' Retreat will provide an opportunity for individuals or small teams to spend focused time on developing, writing, and improving POGIL activities with the mentorship of experienced POGIL author coaches. The 4 1/2-day agenda includes workshop sessions focused on activity authoring, feedback sessions, and ample time for writing and interacting with other authors and author coaches. 

When:  The workshop will begin with an orientation on Sunday, July 12 from 4:30-6:30 pm Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). The workshop will continue on Monday, July 13 starting at 11:30 am EDT and continue through Thursday, July 16 ending at 4:00 pm EDT.

Where: VIRTUAL via Zoom.  Two weeks prior to the workshop, you will receive an email with instructions on how to connect to this virtual workshop.

Registration Fee:  $495 which includes registration and all workshop materials. 

Materials: A packet of materials will be sent to you in advance of the workshop to the address that you provide during registration.

Graduate Credits:  For an additional, optional fee of $165, participants can opt to earn 3 graduate quarter credits through Seattle Pacific University.  If you indicate an interest in  registering for graduate credits when registering for this retreat, you will be sent a link via email to register for graduate credits directly with Seattle Pacific University.  A credit card is required.  Additional requirements -  Participants will submit two short activity self-assessments during the retreat. They will also submit a short reflection based on a 5 question prompt.  The reflection is due no later than July 23.

Technical Specifications:  To participate in this virtual experience, you will need to connect to Zoom via a computer or laptop with video and microphone/sound capabilities. Using a smart phone or iPad is not recommended. Technical specifications for participation in this virtual workshop, can be found in our Virtual Workshop Policy.
