WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION: The POGIL Facilitator Training Workshop is a 3-day POGIL professional development workshop with a focus on workshop facilitation. It will provide training in student-centered teaching techniques and has been developed to train participants to become skilled workshop facilitators for The POGIL Project.
The workshop is designed for those who attended the 2016, 2017, 2018 or 2019 Summer 3-day/Regional workshops, the 2017 or 2019 National Conference for Advanced POGIL Practitioners (NCAPP) or those who have previous POGIL workshop experience. Participants will be prepared and encouraged to run a 1/2 inquiry-based learning workshop on their home campuses at the conclusion of this 3-day experience.
The workshop will be held at the The Hampton Inn & Suites, Myrtle Beach Oceanfront, Myrtle Beach, SC beginning on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at 8:30 a.m. and ending at Noon on Monday, January 20, 2020. Participants should plan to arrive on Friday, January 17th after 4:00 p.m. for check-in.
REGISTRATION COST: The registration fee is $850 which includes registration, materials, a non-smoking, private room for the nights of January 17th, 18th & 19th (checking out on the 20th), 3 breakfasts and 3 lunches. A limited number of need-based scholarships are available for those who do not have professional development funds. Space is limited to 20 attendees.
Dinners and transportation are not included in the workshop fee.

HOTEL DETAILS: You will be staying in a private, non-smoking room for the nights of January 17th, 18th & 19th. Check-in after 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 17th. Check-out by 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 20, 2020.
