Workshop Description:  The 2018 POGIL Writers' Retreat will provide an opportunity for individuals or small teams to spend focused time on developing, writing, and improving POGIL activities with the mentorship of experienced POGIL author coaches. The 4-day agenda includes workshop sessions focused on activity authoring, feedback sessions, and ample time for writing and interacting with other authors and author coaches.  The retreat is appropriate for authors in all content areas at both post-secondary and K-12 levels.

Registration Fee:  The registration fee of $500 includes all workshop materials and 4 lunches (Monday-Thursday).  Dinners will be the responsibility of the participant.  Several on-campus options are available as well as many nearby restaurants within walking distance.

Housing:  On-campus housing for four nights is available for an additional fee of $225.  (Check in on Sunday, July 22.  Check out on Thursday, July 26.)  Campus housing will be in a modern, air-conditioned, suite-style residence hall where participants will have private bedrooms and semi-private bathrooms.  Breakfast on Monday through Thursday is included in the housing fee.

Graduate Credits: For an additional, optional fee of $165, participants can opt to earn 3 graduate quarter credits through Seattle Pacific University.  Registration for the graduate credits will take place during workshop check-in.  A credit card is required.  Additional requirements -  Participants will submit two short activity self-assessments during the retreat. They will also submit a short reflection based on a 5 question prompt.  The reflection is due no later than July 27, 2018.
