Spring 2019 POGIL e-Series: POGIL in Large Classrooms

Registration

Tim Herzog (Associate Professor of Chemistry, Weber State University - Ogden, UT) and Sally Hunnicutt (Associate Chair and Associate Professor of Chemistry, Virginia Commonwealth University - Richmond, VA) will facilitate this web-based session where participants will examine strategies for facilitation of POGIL in a large classroom, including:

  • Setting up teams and student roles
  • Maintaining accountability in teams
  • Using student response systems
  • Examples from two experienced instructors

Registration for this event is limited to 28 people.  Registrants will be sent a Zoom meeting invitation approximately 1 week prior to the webinar.  Please note that the session begins at 7:00 PM Eastern Time The session is scheduled for one hour but the facilitators will remain available to answer questions at the completion of the session.

Cancellation Policy:  Should you need to cancel your registration, please contact Julie Boldizar at julie.boldizar@pogil.org.  Registered participants who cancel by April 8, 2019 will receive a refund minus a $5 administrative fee.  No refunds will be given for cancellations received after April 8, 2019.
